Bridal Shower Cake Sayings

Aside from being delicious, a cake should be meaningful – especially one that’s going to be used in a bridal shower. Bridal shower cake sayings should help inspire the bride and should be interesting enough to talk about.

Anyone can stick to the usual congratulatory and “best wishes” messages, but it’s also easy to come up with an original. One way to do exactly just that is following these four easy steps:

Step 1: Start with a declarative, descriptive statement. This is the most difficult and at the same time, the most exciting step in composing bridal shower cake sayings.

If you’re out of ideas, start by brainstorming. Think of adjectives that will describe the bride-to-be or adjectives of what you hope for her to become on her wedding day or married life. Adjectives like gorgeous, lovely, beautiful, wonderful and dazzling all sound good.

If you don’t know the bride personally, then you can simply write statements that indicate your hopes or wishes for her: a bright future, a more romantic episode in her life, happiness, etc. You may also think of statements that rhyme, “like love is a gift from above” or simply state the obvious like “it’s finally time to say forever.”

Step 2: Include the name of the bride-to-be, as well as her groom’s – if applicable. Get the nickname of the bride to be as you will incorporate it in your message.

If you come up with a statement that describes or expresses goodwill to the couple, then get the groom’s nickname as well.

Step 3: Compose the phrase or sentence. You know what you want to say; you just need to say it right. The actual phrase or sentence you’ll put on the cake should be short and easy to understand.

Be creative in how you’ll put things together. Look at the list of words or statements you’ve previously thought about and compose a message using it, together with the name of the future bride.

Something like, “To a more romantic episode for the wonderful Julia!” sounds good enough.

Remember, bridal shower cake sayings do not necessarily have to be a “saying” or advice – they are actually a message for the bride that will hopefully welcome her to her future married life and inspire her to feel happier and more excited about it.
